I’m Harry, a Music Business student set to graduate this summer from the University of Gloucestershire with a passion for live music, music journalism and artist discovery.
Alongside my studies, I founded Release The Cows as an independent platform dedicated to covering new music across the alternative and independent scene through reviews, features, playlists and live coverage. What began as a creative outlet has developed into a wider portfolio showcasing my interests in editorial content, branding, audience engagement and digital music culture.
Throughout university I have gained practical experience across live events and music industry environments, including volunteering at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and working on production rehearsals and show day operations for Bastille. These opportunities have helped me develop strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills while working in fast-paced professional settings.
I have also collaborated on projects focused on accessibility and community engagement, including the creation of an interactive songbook project for people living with dementia in partnership with Mindsong.
My interests lie across live events, music media, artist development and creative marketing, and I am particularly interested in roles that combine music culture with audience engagement and storytelling.
Release The Cows acts as both a music publication and a professional portfolio, showcasing my ongoing work, experiences and development within the music and creative industries.
